The airline based in United States, Southwest Airlines will be proposing in flight Wi-Fi to all its passengers starting in the first quarter of 2010. Southwest Airlines in flight Wi-Fi will be available onboard of the full fleet, in other words, onboard of all the Boeing 737 aircrafts. Since February 2009, Southwest Airlines has already been testing the in flight Wi-Fi service on four of its Boeing 737 aircrafts and the passengers have been able to use the service by using it from emails to streaming of videos. The passengers of Southwest Airlines involved in the testing of the in flight Wi-Fi service had the occasion to log on to the in flight Wi-Fi through their own personal Wi-Fi enabled device.

The frequent flyer of the American low cost airline, Southwest airline, Rapid Rewards won the first place for Best Award Redemption at the 21st annual Freddie Awards which was held at Ft Lauderdale. The Best Award Redemption for Southwest airlines’ Rapid Rewards programs is not the only award obtained by Southwest airlines. In addition Southwest airlines’ Rapid Rewards has been placed in five other award categories including Program of the Year, Best Web Site for southwest.com, Best Member Communications, Best Bonus Promotion, and Best Customer Service. This is the 11th successive year that Southwest airlines win the Best Award Redemption since the award was created in 1998.
