Lufthansa announces to offer new flights departing Frankfurt to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The Star Alliance member, Lufthansa has scheduled 5 weekly flights from Frankfurt to Rio de Janeiro. Lufthansa Rio de Janeiro flights will be effective as from 30th October 2011. Lufthansa flight LH500 will leave Frankfurt at 10 15 hrs to arrive in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro at 19 45 hrs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Similarly, Lufthansa return flight LH501 will leave Rio de Janeiro at 23 15hrs to arrive in Frankfurt at 14 20 hrs the next day. Also, Lufthansa proposes air ticket Sao Paolo and as from the 30th October 2011 five weekly flights. Lufthansa Airbus A340-300 will be used to ensure the flights Frankfurt Rio de Janeiro with 221 seats 8 in First Class, 48 in Business Class and 165 Economy Class. Within the space of a year, 32,000 new seats onboard Lufthansa will be installed on more than 180 aircrafts that will operate European flights. Along with the new seats on European flights, passengers in Economy Class will be offered Lufthansa onboard services and snacks like muesli bars and chocolate. Lufthansa’s new seats that are being installed onboard European flights take less space than the previous seats and Lufthansa will be able to add up to 2 more rows on each aircrafts, resulting to about 2000 additional seats in its short haul and medium haul fleet.
