The airline based in Belgium, Brussels Airlines will propose as from 25th October 2009, supplementary flights from Brussels to Linate in Milan. Brussels Airlines supplementary flights to Linate will be available in code share with Lufthansa onboard of an Avro RJ aircraft. The supplementary flights of Brussels Airlines from Brussels to Linate will be offered 12 times weekly and 30 times weekly for the scheduled flights respectively. As from 25th October 2009, Brussels Airlines supplementary flights will propose two flights daily from Brussels to Linate on weekdays; a morning and afternoon departure from Brussels, and a return at noon and in the evening from Linate.

The airline based in Germany, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines, the airline based in Austria have been approved for merger which will be valid as from September 2009. Lufthansa merger with Austrian Airlines will allow Austrian Airlines to benefit from 500 million euros in restructuring aid and an anti-trust immunity which are also reasonably adequate for Lufthansa. Furthermore, Lufthansa merger with Austrian Airlines will make possible for Lufthansa to pay the free-float shareholders of Austrian Airlines a sum of about 166 million euros for their shares.

Jet2.com at East Midlands Airport will thus offer 250 new jobs for the area and create over 130,000 seats. The East Midlands Airport of Jet2.com will also make available 7 new direct flights destinations. Cheap fare will be proposed by Jet2.com to these new destinations and the fare will start from as low as £59.99, available for booking as from May 2010. The one way flights from Jet2.com East Midlands Airport will be departing to Lanzarote, Dalaman, Corfu, Crete, Cyprus, Tenerife and Sharm El Sheikh.
