Oneworld is supporting its member airlines, American Airlines, the airline based in the United States and Japan Airlines, the airline based in Japan in their decision to establish a partnership agreement between North American and Asia. Oneworld American Airlines Japan Airlines have applied for anti-trust immunity for the United States Department of Transportation in order for the partnership agreement goes ahead. Furthermore American Airlines wants to make stronger its partnership agreement with Japan Airlines so as to support Japan Airlines which remains a member of Oneworld in its restructuring.

Japan Airlines, the flag carrier airline of Japan remains member of Oneworld. Japan Airlines is still a member of Oneworld as it wants to further consolidate its relations with its partners. Moreover for Japan Airlines remains a member of Oneworld, it is very important decision for both Japan Airlines and the Japanese government. American Airlines, the airline based in the United States together with its partners in Oneworld will strengthen its relations with the Japan based airline, Japan Airlines so as to create an even close partnership both in terms of trade and assistance in order to generate Japan Airlines’ supplementary revenue and support its restructuring effort.

As from 24th November 2009 the flag carrier of Spain, Iberia will be moving all its operations from Terminal 2 to Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda airport. Iberia Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda airport is recently renovated. British Airways, Finnair and Malev Hungarian Airlines which are the Oneworld alliance airlines will shift to Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda airport together with Iberia. Hence as Iberia shifts Terminal at Stockholm Arlanda airport, Iberia will share the ticket office, check-in counters and self service check-in kiosks with its oneworld partners. The flights between Madrid and Stockholm Arlanda airport is operated once a week with Iberia. In addition Iberia Terminal 5 at Arlanda Stockholm airport will provide more facilities and a bigger lounge to all its passengers.
