Etihad Airways and Virgin Blue have been granted the authorization of an Alliance by the ACCC Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Etihad Airways and Virgin Blue will be officially in a five year Alliance. With the Alliance Etihad Airways and Virgin Blue will explore each other market which will give passengers access to more than 100 destinations worldwide. The Alliance between Etihad Airways and Virgin Blue will start with 27 weekly flights Abu Dhabi and Australia. Etihad Airways Virgin Blue Alliance will propose passengers two daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Sydney, daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Melbourne, and six flights per week between Abu Dhabi and Brisbane.
