The United Kingdom based airline, Virgin Atlantic will extend its wings to the capital of Ghana, Accra from the British capital, London as from 24th May 2010. Virgin Atlantic London flights to Accra will be carried out by Airbus A340-300 in a three class configuration, 34 seats in business class, 35 seats in premium economy and 171 seats in economy class. The flights of Virgin Atlantic will depart from London at 22 30 hours on Sundays, Thursdays and Fridays and will land in Accra at 04 15 hours.  The return flights will then head off from Accra on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays at 10 15 hours and will arrive in London at 18 00 hours.  Accra is the fifth African city that will be served by Virgin Atlantic. Passengers can assist the 2010 world cup that is to be held in South Africa as Virgin Atlantic does offer Johannesburg world cup flight. To conclude, Virgin Atlantic also provides air ticket Cape Town the other host city for the world cup 2010. For the launching of this new flight, Virgin Atlantic offers a promotional fare of £177(€204) from Paris to Accra.

    It’s a great move by Virgin Atlantic. Accra has become the hot destination for tourists and the traffic has been dramatically increased in recent years. Almost all airlines love to schedule cheap flights to Accra as they don’t expect any spare seat in Accra flights. Virgin Atlantic has good reputation in the international market and its serving for other African destinations but still the management of Virgin Atlantic has to be creative. The management should introduce unique packages to grab maximum customers, as there are several other airlines which offer cheap flights to Accra.
