Qatar Airways IATA Environment Committee is for a duration of 2 years, where Qatar Airways will be represented on the committee by its Senior Manager Corporate Social Responsibility, Environment & Fuel Optimisation. The IATA system is presently being put into practice and will be available to passengers of Qatar Airways in the near future. S7 Airlines with main hub, Moscow-Domodedovo airport is the first domestic airline which will join Oneworld. S7 Airlines will integrate Oneworld after having been selected by the 10 member companies and some are considered to be the largest companies in the world. The flag carrier of the United Kingdom, British Airways will be the sponsor of S7 airlines throughout the program of preparation for its entry into Oneworld. Moreover the arrival of S7 Airlines in Oneworld will allow the alliance to comprise the largest network covering the whole of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. S7 Airlines already serves 72 destinations around the world, including 38 in Russia. S7 Airlines entry into Oneworld will add 54 cities on the Oneworld map, including 35 in Russia, as well as 8 new countries, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. This will enable the Oneworld network to account for almost 750 destinations in nearly 150 countries, served by a combined fleet of 2,300 aircraft operating some 8500 flights a day, carrying more than 330 million passengers per year. S7 Airlines is the first Russian company to have adopted a fleet composed entirely of Airbus and Boeing, and have implemented the electronic ticket and the reservations and sales online. S7 Airlines also received the IOSA certification (International Air Transport Association Operational Safety Audit), recognised internationally certification which has been renewed in October 2008.
The main hub of S7 Airlines, Moscow-Domodedovo airport, the most modern in the Russian capital is served by Oneworld airlines companies that are American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia, Japan Airlines and Royal Jordanian. S7 Airlines secondary hubs are Novosibirsk and Irkutsk. S7 Airlines’ international destinations include Oneworld hubs Madrid and Bangkok.
