Austrian Airlines is now code share agreement with Brussels Airlines, a new member of Star Alliance. Code share between Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines will take effect from 28th March 2010. Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines signed a code share agreement for the Vienna Brussels route. With this code share agreement with Brussels Airlines, Austrian Airlines will be able to offer more frequencies to its passengers on its route Vienna Brussels. The route Brussels to Vienna by Austrian Airlines will increase to 7 flights per day, including 4 flights in code share agreement with Brussels Airlines. The code share agreement between Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines will also allow passengers of both carriers’ better flight connections to and from Brussels.

Austrian Airlines, the national airline of Austria is now providing additional flight to London to all its passengers. The additional flight to London with Austria Airlines will be taking off form Vienna. However Austria Airlines additional flight between London and Vienna will be operated under a code share agreement with the airline based in the United Kingdom, BMI. In other words Austria Airlines will operate three flights per day between Vienna and London and BMI will operate 2 flights per day between Vienna and London. Thus with the additional flight between London and Vienna, Austrian Airlines will be offering 5 flights per day between London and Vienna to all its passengers. Furthermore the additional flight proposed by Austrian Airlines between London and Vienna will be operated on its aircraft the Boeing 737-800 the code sharing flight between London and Vienna which will be operated by BMI will carry its passengers on its aircraft the Airbus A320.
