Delay in the shifting of Finnair Terminal to Barcelona

Finnair, the airline based in Finland announces with the other Oneworld airlines their delay in shifting to the Terminal 1 of Barcelona International Airport. Finnair delay to Terminal 1 at Barcelona is due to the fact that the Terminal 1 is still under construction at the Barcelona International Airport but the airport authorities have estimated that the move will now take place on 30th September 2009. Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver passengers as well as Business Class passengers may use the Pau Casals Lounge in the new terminal 1 at Barcelona. With the opening of Terminal 1 Finnair will be able to serve 55 million passengers per year. The new Terminal 1 has 101 boarding gates, 43 air bridges, 73 shops, 43 bars and restaurants, 166 check-in desks and more than 11,000 parking spaces.

The flag carrier Finnair, based in Finland moves to Terminal 1 at the Barcelona International Airport. The member of the Oneworld alliance and the other airlines which form part of it will shift to the new Terminal 1 located 3 km away from Terminal A where Finnair is actually operating. Moreover Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver members as well as the Business Class passengers traveling with Finnair will have the possibility to make use of the Pau Casals Lounge in the new Terminal 1 at Barcelona. Finnair new Terminal 1 at Barcelona has 101 boarding gates, 43 air bridges, 73 shops, 43 bars and restaurants, 166 check-in desks and more than 11,000 parking spaces. Finnair new Terminal 1 at Barcelona is also set with 696 solar panels and automatic light regulation. Finnair moves to Terminal 1 at Barcelona wil be effective as from 9th July 2009.
