As from 17th November 2009 the United States based airline, Continental Airlines will its airport operation at Paris CDG to Terminal 1. Moreover most Star Alliance member airlines are based at Paris CDG to Terminal 1. Continental Airlines move airport operations at Paris CDG so as to make available simple connections between Continental Airlines’ flight and Star Alliance member airlines’ flights. In addition Continental Airlines currently operate 13 times a week non stop flight taking off from Paris CDG to New York using its Boeing 767-400 ER and Boeing 757 and a daily non stop flight to Houston making use of its Boeing 767-400 ER again.

The airline based in Finland, Finnair is announcing another delay in its shifting to the Barcelona International Airport Terminal 1 which will now be for the 9th September 2009. Finnair to Terminal 1 found at Barcelona International Airport is found 3km away from the Terminal A and a terminal bus operates between the two terminals. Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold, Silver, as well as Business Class passengers will be able to use the Pau Casals Lounge in the new Terminal 1. With the opening of Finnair new Terminal 1 55 million passengers per year will be served.

Oneworld Alliance will shift, as from September 2009, to the Barcelona airport Terminal 1. Oneworld Alliance at Terminal 1 will bring five airlines to serve the Barcelona airport, that is: Iberia and its subsidiary Iberia Regional Air Nostrum, American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair and Royal Jordanian. Even though Vueling is not considered as a member of the Oneworld Alliance, it is moving along with the other airlines to the Terminal 1 in Barcelona. Oneworld is the only alliance having members based in Australia, South America or the Middle-East Asia.
