The alliance based in Amsterdam, Skyteam has welcomed a new member which is the airline based in Romania, Tarom. Skyteam welcomed Tarom on 25th June 2010 and becomes the 13th member of Skyteam. A welcome ceremony was held by Skyteam for Tarom at Bucharest on 25th June 2010. Having joined Skyteam, passengers travelling on other airlines member of the alliance such as Delta Airlines, Air France, AeroMexico and a few more airlines will be able to benefit from the frequent flyer program of Skyteam. After having joined Skyteam, Tarom will offer 12 new destinations besides the 45 destinations that the airline currently flies to. To recall, Air Valid helps passengers with luggage Tarom-Romanian Air Transport thus making passengers know how much weight and bags both as checked and cabin luggage they are entitled to on different flights and in different classes of travel.

Air Baltic and Tarom in code share

The airline based in Latvia, Air Baltic and the airline based in Romania, Tarom will be in code share agreement. Code share between Air Baltic and Tarom will be effective as from 29th March 2010. Air Baltic and Tarom will code share the flights between Riga and Bucharest. Following the code share agreement between Air Baltic and Tarom, the flights between Riga and Bucharest will be ensured by Tarom four times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Air Baltic also provides air tickets to Frankfurt , in Germany.
