The airline based in Belgium, Brussels Airlines has signed a code share agreement with the airline based in Spain, Spanair. Moreover Brussels Airlines code share Spanair agreement will allow all the passengers flying with either Spanair or Brussels Airlines to profit from flight between Spain and Brussels. Furthermore frequent flyers of Brussels Airlines and Spanair will have the opportunity to accumulate and exchange miles on all flights of Brussels Airlines and Spanair. In addition the code share agreement between Brussels Airlines and Spanair will allow all the passengers flying with both airlines to profit from flights to Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Madrid, Barcelona and Seville. Furthermore under the code share agreement between Brussels Airlines and Spanair, passengers will also have the chance to profit from several lounges.

The airline based in Canada, Air Canada and the airline based in Spain, Spanair announced for a code share agreement between them. Both airlines Air Canada and Spanair are members of the Star Alliance. Hence passengers of both airlines i.e. Air Canada and Spanair will be able to profit from simplified bookings, correspondence from start to finish with a single air ticket, the baggage check until the final destination and other benefits related to the Star Alliance network including the accumulation of miles.
Air Canada code share agreement with Spanair gives Air Canada the possibility to fly as flight number and code AC flights operated by Spanair in Madrid on the one hand. On the Other hand Air Canada will be able to fly as flight number and code AC flights by Spanair in Barcelona, Palma de Majorca, Malaga, Alicante, Bilbao and Valencia.
On the other hand Spanair will commercialise under the flight number and JK code on the non stop flights of Air Canada between Madrid and Toronto with suitable connections to and from Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver.

The airline based in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Spanair offers a direct daily flight between Barcelona and Almeria. Spanair reinforce its position as the airline with more domestic and international flights from Barcelona. Moreover Spanair has published its new flight schedule starting on 29th March 2009 to 24th October 2009. During this period, the summer season, Spanair will operate 67 domestic routes with more than 47.500 flight offering more than 7 millions seats. Further more Spanair stays the second leading airline operating in Spain by maintaining several connections through its two bases Madrid and Barcelona. However Spanair will operate 756 domestic week flights to and from Barcelona and 740 international flights. Thus from and to its base Madrid Spanair will operate 660 international flights and 550 domestic flights.
