IATA announced its statement on the new security measures for all passengers travelling to any destination in the United States implemented by the TSA - Transportation Security Administration has implemented. In other words the Security Measures in the US commented by IATA is that the TSA - Transportation Security Administration new security measures implemented is a step in the right direction. Moreover with the TSA - Transportation Security Administration declaration made on the 3rd January 2010, the innovative emergency requirement will be restore to 100% pat-down screening for all passengers travelling in any destination in the United States with danger based and indiscriminate screening. In addition IATA calls on DHS and TSA - Transportation Security Administration to work with their global complements to look at a next generation checkpoint. In other words this should allow screeners to access to efficient intelligence to offer proportional screening security measures based on intelligence driven risk assessments. Furthermore IATA keeps on advising the US and the other governments to manage security measures and to work directly with industry for their efficient implementation.

WestJet, the Canadian low cost airline reinforced its security measures. In other words due to the security measures reinforced for airlines, implemented by TSA, WestJet cease the opportunity to inform to any of its passenger willing to travel to any destination in the United States until 30th December 2009 of WestJet new security measures. WestJet reinforced its security measures by informing to all its passengers that no cabin baggage will be permitted with exception for a small bag, a diaper bag, small backpack or a laptop bag. Moreover any baggage with wheels and large backpacks should now be registered. In addition all passengers travelling with WestJet to any destination in the United States should reach the airport two or three hours before scheduled departure. Furthermore all medications should be transported by the passengers and not in the checked baggage.

Roissy Airport delayed flights new security measures

The Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport proclaimed that delayed flights are expected due the new security measures. Hence due to an incident on Flight 253 of the airline based in the United States, Northwest Airlines, TSA - Transportation Security Administration in collaboration with airlines, the Law Enforcement and the Government has implemented measures to strengthen aviation security. The Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport is advising to all its passengers to anticipate their arrival at the airport. In addition these passengers may face delayed flights due to the implementation of the new security measures established. Hence Delayed flights increased security measures on Roissy since Northwest Airlines flight 253 incident.
