The national airline of Finland, Finnair will alter its luggage rules. Finnair luggage rules will be altered as from 1st September 2010. This new luggage rules states that the weight concept will be replaced by the luggage piece concept on all Finnair scheduled flights. Finnair luggage rules state that passengers are allowed to carry one piece of bag with a limit weight of 23kgs and the bag should be of a dimension of 158cms or 62 inches. (Height+length+width).  Economy class passengers are also allowed a weight luggage of 23kg. However, a rule is imposed that passengers carrying between 24kg to 32 kg as luggage will have to pay a flat fee. Finnair passengers having bought air tickets before 1st September 2010 will not be affected by this change of luggage rules. These luggage rules is however not applicable on air ticket United States. A new rules and regulations will be applied to all airlines operating a domestic flight in the United States in 120 days. The new rules for flight disruption has been applied by the United States Departement of Transportation. In other words under this flight interruption rules any airline operating a domestic flight in the United States are forced to serve meals and water to all their passengers if ever their flight is delayed. Furthermore the flight interruption rules are applicable to any flight being delayed. Moreover the water and meals should be offered to its passengers within the 2 hours on the airport’s tarmac. The rules for flight interruption also implies that the airline having a flight interruption should allow all its passengers on board of this flight to make use of the bathroom on the tarmac of the airport. In addition if ever there is a flight interruption the passengers should be provided with medical care by the airline.
