Member of the Oneworld ® alliance, the carrier based in Australia Qantas will offer on its flights to the Japanese city, Tokyo and to the German city, Frankfurt the Premium Economy class. Qantas Premium Economy class will be available on Tokyo flights as from October this year and to Frankfurt as from February next year. Onboard of the Premium Economy class, Qantas passengers will be offered a 40 inch seat pitch, seats which are 19.5 inch wide, touch screen, self bar, refreshments and complimentary meals. For the launching of the Premium Economy class on these two flights, Qantas proposes air ticket Tokyo at an air fare of £1145 as from 10th October and air ticket Frankfurt at an air fare of £2292 as from 3rd February 2010. Besides Tokyo and Frankfurt, the Premium Economy class is available on Qantas flights to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Johannesburg, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Buenos Aires. The airline based in Australia and the airline based in China Qantas Airways and China Eastern have announced to extend their code share agreement. Qantas and China Eastern code share will be extended as from 1st July. Following this, Qantas will now code share flights with China Eastern between Singapore and Shanghai. China Eastern will also code share flights of Qantas between Singapore and Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Besides, this extended code share, on 6th May a reciprocal frequent flyer program took effect between Qantas and China Eastern. The Australian based airline, Qantas has rolled out with a new service that of mobile check in. Thanks to Qantas mobile check-in passengers will now be able to check for their flights through their mobile phones or through any web enabled mobile devices between a minimum of 45 minutes to a maximum of 24 hours before departure. This new service of mobile check in will provide passengers with real time flight information. Passengers using the service of mobile check-in of Qantas will be sent a 2D bar code to their mobile phone that will have details such as name, flight details including others. The mobile check in service will also enable passengers to receive the flights schedules of QantasLink, Jetstar and the other codeshare flights of Qantas.
