Since 16th March 2009, Grupo Mexicana had introduced its third airline, Mexicanalink. The launching of the new carrier, Mexicanalink in its hub in Guadalajara, coincides with the reopening of the group’s maintenance base there. However, for the launching of the new airline Mexicanalink, only flights departing from Guadalajara to destinations such as Puerto Vallarta and Monterrey is obtainable. Moreover Mexicanalink is making use of two new generation Bombardier CRJ-200s of 50-seat to serve Puerto Vallarta and Monterrey. Furthermore, Mexicanalink will add two more aircraft in April 2009 and further nine will be added in due course.
