As from Tuesday 10th November 2009 the flag carrier of Mexico, Mexicana Airlines along with its two subsidiaries MexicanaClick and MexicanaLink will join Oneworld. The passengers of Mexicana Airlines, MexicanaClick and MexicanaLink will benefit from many advantages as Mexicana joins Oneworld alliance. As soon as Mexicana joins Oneworld all the members of the MexicanaGO frequent flyer program will be capable of earning and redeeming miles on all the Oneworld partners. Moreover the cardholders of MexicanaGO Conquer and Discover will have the opportunity to have the Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire status while having access to around 550 airport lounges in the world.

The airline based in Finland, Finnair and Finncomm Airlines will transfer its domestic flights to the Terminal 2 of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport as from 5th August 2009. Finnair and Finncomm Airlines to Terminal 2 at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport will make available all its departures and arrivals of its domestic flights and international flights. Additional oneworld airlines will also operate from Terminal 2 of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

Finnair, the airline based in Finland announces with the other Oneworld airlines their delay in shifting to the Terminal 1 of Barcelona International Airport. Finnair delay to Terminal 1 at Barcelona is due to the fact that the Terminal 1 is still under construction at the Barcelona International Airport but the airport authorities have estimated that the move will now take place on 30th September 2009. Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver passengers as well as Business Class passengers may use the Pau Casals Lounge in the new terminal 1 at Barcelona. With the opening of Terminal 1 Finnair will be able to serve 55 million passengers per year. The new Terminal 1 has 101 boarding gates, 43 air bridges, 73 shops, 43 bars and restaurants, 166 check-in desks and more than 11,000 parking spaces.
