The national airline of Singapore, Singapore Airlines will offer daily flights from Singapore to the capital of Maldives, Male. Singapore Airlines flights to Male from Singapore will be daily flights as from 28th March 2010. Singapore Airlines flights SQ 452 will depart from Singapore at 2035 hrs and will touch down at Male at 2200 hrs. The return flights SQ 451 will then leave from Male at 2315 hrs and will arrive in Singapore at 0700 hrs the following day. Singapore Airlines flights from Singapore to Male will be ensured by the carrier’s Airbus A330-300 accommodating 285 passengers, 30 in business class and 255 in economy class. As in-flight entertainment, Singapore Airlines offers a wide selection of movies, games and also iPhone and iPod connection in every seat incorporated even in economy class for flights from Singapore to Male. To conclude, Singapore Airlines also provides air tickets to Hong Kong.

The airline based in the United Arab Emirates is making available supplementary flights to Colombo and Malé. Thus Emirates will be providing 18 flights per week to Sri Lanka and 14 flights per week to the Maldives. The flights from Dubai to Colombo and Malé will be operated on an Airbus A330 having a capacity of 12 passengers in First Class, 42 passengers on Business Class and 183 passengers in Economy Class. Emirates to Colombo and Malé flights will be operated on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Emirates flight EK 654 will depart from Dubai at 10.20 to arrive in Malé at 15.25 and will then depart from Malé at 16.50 to arrive in Colombo at 18.50.
Hence Emirates flights EK 654 will depart from Colombo at 20.10 to arrive in Dubai at 22.55. In addition Emirates will offer an additional direct flight between Dubai and Colombo on each Wednesday which will depart from Dubai at 02.45 to arrive in Colombo at 08.45 and then depart from Colombo at 10.05 to reach in Dubai at 12.50.
Further more Emirates will also provide 2 additional flights between Dubai and Colombo every Wednesday and Friday which will depart from Dubai at 03.25 to arrive in Malé at 08.30 and then take off from Malé at 09.55 to reach in Dubai at 12.55.
Emirates flights to additional direct flights to Colombo and Malé will be operated on the Boeing 777 of Emirates having a capacity of 12 passengers in First Class and 310 passengers in the Economy Class.

As from 25th October 2009 the national carrier of the United Kingdom, British Airways is proposing a thrice weekly flight from its base London Gatwick to Male in the Maldives and to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. The flight to Male and Sharm El Sheikh will be operated by the Boeing 777 of British Airways having a three class arrangement, World Traveller, World Traveller Plus and Club World. Passengers will have the possibility to profit from air tickets departing from London Gatwick to Male as from £629 and flight tickets from London Gatwick to Sharm El Sheikh as from £339.
