The national airline of Finland, Finnair will alter its luggage rules. Finnair luggage rules will be altered as from 1st September 2010. This new luggage rules states that the weight concept will be replaced by the luggage piece concept on all Finnair scheduled flights. Finnair luggage rules state that passengers are allowed to carry one piece of bag with a limit weight of 23kgs and the bag should be of a dimension of 158cms or 62 inches. (Height+length+width). Economy class passengers are also allowed a weight luggage of 23kg. However, a rule is imposed that passengers carrying between 24kg to 32 kg as luggage will have to pay a flat fee. Finnair passengers having bought air tickets before 1st September 2010 will not be affected by this change of luggage rules. These luggage rules is however not applicable on air ticket United States.
