Air France, the flag carrier airline of France proclaimed that each month its Loyalty Program ‘Flying Blue’ gets new members. The Loyalty Program of Air France ‘Flying Blue’ obtained 123 000 new members per month instead of 115 000 members a year ago. Moreover the Loyalty Program proposed by Air France ‘Flying Blue’ is a joint program with two airlines Air France and KLM which give the opportunity for its 17 millions ‘Flying Blue’ members to earn and redeem miles with 108 airline partners and non airlines. Moreover Air France Flying Bleu news members are international of which 30% are European. In other words Air France 30% ‘Flying Blue’ member, 18% are in the United Kingdom and 16% in Germany.

Iberia, the airline based in Spain is now giving the chance to all its passengers to benefit from double miles with its Loyalty Program, Iberia Plus when travelling between Brussels and Strasbourg. Iberia Loyalty Program Iberia Plus allows passengers travelling on a flight between Brussels and Strasbourg to profit from these double miles for a period of 6 months. In other words Iberia Loyalty Program allows its passengers to benefit from these doubles miles until 30th June 2010. Furthermore any passenger travelling with Iberia, Iberia Regional air/Air Nostrum and Vueling will have the opportunity to profit from these double miles when travelling on a flight between Strasbourg and Brussels.

Qatar Airways the airline based in Qatar launches a new Boeing B777-200LR to Melbourne which is effective since 17th June 2009. Qatar Airways already has 4,000 frequent fliers in Australia that are part of the loyalty program. The new operation of Qatar Airways will connect travellers from Melbourne, Australia to the United Kingdom and Europe with a one-stop service and a designed one hour connection time in Doha. From Qatar Airways hub in its based area Doha, passengers can also link to numerous destinations across South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. Qatar Airways new Boeing B777-200LR proposes a two-class configuration having a capacity of 259 passengers. Qatar Airways will offer options for a further five Boeing 777 aircraft. Four long range triple sevens will operate the Melbourne and Sydney routes.
