Virgin America, the low-cost airline based at San Francisco International Airport in the United States, is the first airline to offer in-flight WiFi to its travelers on every flight. However, Virgin America is not allowing Voice-Over-IP (VoIP) products like Skype video call in-flight due to concerns about maintaining a quiet and restful cabin environment. Thus, with the in-flight WiFi service onboard, passengers can surf the Web, check their e-mails, update their Facebook pages and tweet from their seats at 37,000 feet. Furthermore, Virgin America propose In-Flight WiFi as from $12.95 for daytime flights of over three hours and in-flight WiFi for daytime flights of less than three hours is as from $9.95 and $5.95 on red-eye flights and also $7.95 for handheld devices.
