The airline based in Australia, Qantas Airways stated since 19th August 2009 the purchase of four additional Airbus A330 aircrafts. Qantas Airways Airbus A330 will be delivered in November 2010. This new Airbus A330 aircraft of Qantas Airways will help in the expansion of the international Jetstar long-haul. Jetstar presently manages a fleet of six Airbus A330-200. The acquirement of the four Airbus A330 aircraft will increase Jetstar fleet to seven in December 2009 and develop to 11 with the delivery of these new two-class, 303 passenger seats aircraft.

The airline based in Lybia, Afriqiyah Airways has received its new Airbus A330-200 which is the first one delivered. Afriqiyah Airways Airbus A330-200 has been inaugurated during a ceremony at the Mitiga Airport, in Tripoli. The new Airbus A330-200 of Afriqiyah Airways will propose 230 passenger seats and will serve Southern Africa, Asia and Europe as long-haul destinations.

The airline based in Morocco, Royal Air Maroc took delivery of a Boeing 767 long-haul, its 5th for the year 2009. Royal Air Maroc Boeing 767 helps the airline to modernize and develop its fleet. In 2009, Royal Air Maroc has also acquired 3 new Boeing 737-800 and received 3 ATR 72-200 aircraft. Royal Air Maroc will also receive during the month of August 2009 a Boeing 737-300 Freighter to support its freight business. The arrival of these two aircraft allows Royal Air Maroc to have a long-haul fleet of ten aircraft by 2012, with the line of Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which Royal Air Maroc will be among the first companies to use.
