The carriers based in India and the United States, Kingfisher Airlines and American Airlines respectively have announced on 23rd November 2010 that they will be in code share agreement. The code share between Kingfisher Airlines and American Airlines will be effective as from next year. Kingfisher Airlines and American Airlines code share will be effective as from next year. The code share will allow American Airlines to place its two letter code ‘AA’ on the domestic flights operated by Kingfisher Airlines beyond New Delhi. Moreover, American Airlines will code share flights operated by Kingfisher Airlines from London Heathrow to Mumbai and New Delhi. The code share will also allow Kingfisher Airlines to place its two letter code ‘IT’ on selected flights operated by American Airlines between the US and London Heathrow. Besides the code share of routes, Kingfisher Airlines and American Airlines will allow passengers to earn and redeem miles across each airline’s network.
