The enhanced code share Japan Airlines and Jetstar came into effect on 25th November 2010. The enhanced code share between Japan Airlines and Jetstar will offer passengers new flights from Tokyo Narita to Gold Coast and also from Osaka Kansai to Gold Coast. Before the enhanced code share, Japan Airlines and Jetstar were code sharing routes between Narita and Cairns and between Kansai and Cairns. The new code share flights from Tokyo Narita to Gold Coast and also from Osaka Kansai to Gold Coast announced by Japan Airlines will be carried by Jetstar’s Airbus A330 on a daily basis.

American Airlines code share Jetstar has been signed on 13th October 2010. Following the code share signed, American Airlines will place its two letter code ‘AA’ on flights between Auckland and Christchurch, between Auckland and Queenstown, between Auckland and Wellington, between Christchurch and Queenstown and between Christchurch and Wellington operated by Jetstar. Besides the code share of routes, passengers of both American Airlines and Jetstar will be able to earn and redeem miles on each other carrier’s flights. Moreover, the flights of Jetstar that are operated under the code of Qantas ‘QF’ are also eligible for earning and redeeming miles.
