France has obtained the approbation of IATA for its One-Stop Security. Nearly most European countries have implemented One-Stop Security to reduce security hassles for all passengers arriving from another European airport. Moreover, passengers that have already been screened at an European airport do not need to be screened a second time when making flight connections.  Furthermore, Lyon airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle airport in France have already started implementing One-Stop Security. IATA forecasts that with One-Stop Security in France, it will have an impact on about 6 million passengers. Thus, France will be able to save about US $30 million a year without compromising the quality of the security being applied. In addition, after IATA approve France’s application for One-Stop Security, ICAO is looking forward to promote the concept of One-Stop Security on an international level.

However, IATA is working in partnership with WHO to realise the awareness program for the airlines in preparing guidance documents on the staff of airlines such as cabin crew, maintenance crew, cleaners team and baggage handlers. IATA awareness for airlines confirmed that airlines are already equipped for this kind of situation and the measures are already in place to ensure that passengers are safe. For instance, modern aircraft have systems such as air filtration similar to those in hospitals. However, airlines are regularly disinfected and the crews are trained in procedures for handling cases where the passengers could get sick on board of aircrafts.
