The Star Alliance now welcomes Brussels Airlines, the airline based in Belgium. Brussels Airlines has been officially welcomed by the presidents of the member airline of the Star Alliance at the ceremony in Brussels. The ceremony where Brussels Airlines member of Star Alliance, was held on 9th December 2009. Since Brussels Airlines joins the Star Alliance, the passengers served on the network of Star Alliance now have more alternatives between flights to Brussels Airport. Moreover Brussels Airport is now a hub of the Star Alliance. In addition the passengers served on the network of the Star Alliance will profit from flights in Africa since Brussels Airlines joins the Star Alliance.

Supplementary flights to Linate with Brussels Airlines

The airline based in Belgium, Brussels Airlines will propose as from 25th October 2009, supplementary flights from Brussels to Linate in Milan. Brussels Airlines supplementary flights to Linate will be available in code share with Lufthansa onboard of an Avro RJ aircraft. The supplementary flights of Brussels Airlines from Brussels to Linate will be offered 12 times weekly and 30 times weekly for the scheduled flights respectively. As from 25th October 2009, Brussels Airlines supplementary flights will propose two flights daily from Brussels to Linate on weekdays; a morning and afternoon departure from Brussels, and a return at noon and in the evening from Linate.

The flag carrier of Canada, Air Canada will propose as from 12th June 2010, new non-stop flights from Montreal to Brussels. Air Canada flights between Montreal and Brussels will also offer extensive roundtrip flights to Toronto, Ottawa, Québec City, Halifax, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington and New York. The non-stop flights of Air Canada between Montreal and Brussels will be operated by a Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft which has a capacity of 211 passengers in Economy class as well as 24 lay flat bed suites in Executive First class.
