On 23rd February 2010, Qatar Airways has set its footprints in the information technology city of India with flights to Bengaluru from Doha. Qatar Airways flights to Bengaluru from Doha will be operated by an Airbus A320 with 12 seats in business class and 132 in economy class. Flights QR 226 of Qatar Airways departs from Doha at 2100 hrs and lands at Bengaluru 03535 hrs. The return flights QR 227 of Qatar Airways leaves from Bengaluru at 0435 hrs and reaches Doha at 0640 hrs.

Qatar Airways, the flag carrier airline of Qatar is now making available Bengaluru, Tokyo and Ankara route to all its passengers. Hence the Bengaluru Tokyo and Ankara route with Qatar Airways will be effective in the year 2010. In other words Qatar Airways is forecasting to provide regular flights Bengaluru which will be effective only as from February 2010. Moreover regarding the new Tokyo route proposed by Qatar Airways will be provided with regular flights as from the end of April in the year 2010. However Qatar Airway regular flight to Tokyo will be operated via Osaka. Furthermore Qatar Airways new Ankara route will be provided to all the passengers with 4 flights per week.
