WestJet, the Canadian low cost airline reinforced its security measures. In other words due to the security measures reinforced for airlines, implemented by TSA, WestJet cease the opportunity to inform to any of its passenger willing to travel to any destination in the United States until 30th December 2009 of WestJet new security measures. WestJet reinforced its security measures by informing to all its passengers that no cabin baggage will be permitted with exception for a small bag, a diaper bag, small backpack or a laptop bag. Moreover any baggage with wheels and large backpacks should now be registered. In addition all passengers travelling with WestJet to any destination in the United States should reach the airport two or three hours before scheduled departure. Furthermore all medications should be transported by the passengers and not in the checked baggage.

The airline based in Abidjan is making available a new package for its entire luggage on board of its Airbus A321 as from 1st July 2009. The national carrier Air Ivoire is actually operating 5 weekly flights Paris / Marseille / Abidjan on the Airbus A321 of Air Ivoire. The new baggage offer proposed by Air Ivoire to its passengers means that the baggage high season is 1 baggage hold of 30kg. For any supplementary baggage less or equivalent to 32kg Air Ivoire applies a fixed amount of €210 (£180) instead of 13€/kg (£11/kg).

In other words 50 Kg franchise = 1 piece of 30 Kg + 1 piece of 20 Kg = cost 210 € (£180) instead of 260 € (£223)
62 kg = 1 free piece of 30 kg + 1 piece of 32 Kg = cost 210 € (£180) instead of 416 € (£356)
80 kg = 1 free piece of 30 Kg + 1 piece of 32 Kg + 1 piece of 18 Kg = cost 2 X 210 €
(2 X £180) instead of 650 € (£556)
Air Ivoire Airbus A321 baggage offer gives the possibility to all its passengers on board of its Airbus A321 to save up to 50%.
