The airline based in Fiji, Air Pacific launches a new flight from Apia to Honolulu starting on 11th September 2009. Air Pacific from Apia to Honolulu will be available on board of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft which has a capacity of 8 passengers in its Tabua Business Class and 152 passengers in its Pacific Voyager Class. The new flight of Air Pacific will depart from Nadi at 08:50p.m to reach Apia at 11:40p.m and will then depart from Apia at 12:40a.m to land in Honolulu at 07:00a.m. the return flight of Air Pacific will depart from Honolulu at 08:10a.m to reach Apia at 12:35p.m and will then depart from Apia at 01:35p.m to land in Nadi at 02:35p.m.

Alaska Airlines, the airline based at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Air Pacific, the airline based at Nadi International Airport has signed a code share agreement. The code share agreement between Alaska Airlines and Air Pacific permit passengers to book their air tickets from Fiji and travel on Alaska Airlines. Moreover, with the code share agreement, Alaska Airlines and Air Pacific have the prospect to expand their network and also, Alaska Airlines code share agreement with Air Pacific permit passengers, who are members of frequent flyer to use their miles on both airlines.

After 58 years of operation without major incidents, Air Pacific has been accredited IOSA label. The IOSA audit report argues that the airline meets all the criteria established in order to obtain IOSA certification, in addition to the ‘Gold Standard’ assigned to Air Pacific for the Operational safety demonstrated. Air Pacific will now be subject to the IOSA audit reports every 2 years to maintain its accreditation. With the launch of new routes and the introduction of the new Boeing B787 Dreamliner to its fleet, Air Pacific is prepared for the challenges ahead, IOSA accreditation in his pocket.
