Malaysia’s national airline, Malaysia Airlines offers passengers to use their mobile phones while flying. These in-flight Malaysia Airlines services are available for European, Australian, and Asian destinations. Boeing B777-200 was the first model aircraft of Malaysia Airlines that was equipped with AeroMobile. The in-flight mobile service is widely used by passengers onboard of Malaysia Airlines.

On 20th March 2008, AeroMobile was launched on Emirates flight from Dubai to Casablanca. Up to date, 160170 travelers have used their mobile phones while traveling on Emirates aircraft. This new in-flight Emirates service is available on 32 aircraft of Emirates. AeroMobile is available on various aircrafts models of Emirates including Boeings 777-200s and 777-300s, and also the Airbus A340-300, A340-500 and A330-200.

On 5th March 2009, Maxis signed a partnership with Malaysia Airlines and AeroMobile. All postpaid consumers of Maxis will now be able to benefit from the in-flight Malaysian services proposed by the airline and AeroMobile. Postpaid consumers will are be able to make use of their mobile phones while being onboard Malaysia Airlines. Malaysia Airlines’ Boeing 777-200 is equipped with AeroMobile.
