The carriers based in the United States and Iceland, Alaska Airlines and Icelandair respectively have signed a code share agreement. Alaska Airlines code share Icelandair took effect since 27th July 2010. Horizon Air will also benefit from this code share signed between Alaska Airlines and Icelandair. With this new code signed between Alaska Airlines and Icelandair, passengers will be able to earn and redeem miles on either carrier with the frequent flyer programs between Seattle and Iceland and also across Europe. Following this code share agreement, Icelandair will be able to place its code on flights operated by Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. To recall, Air Valid helps passengers with luggage Alaska Airlines thus making passengers know how much weight and bags both as checked and cabin luggage they are entitled to on different flights.
