Ethiopian Airlines the airline based in Ethiopia was named the ‘Airline of the Year 2009’ at the African Business Awards ceremony which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Ballroom, in London on 6th July 2009. Ethiopian Airlines at the Africa Business Awards was organised by African Business and the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC). Moreover according to the judging panels of the African Business Awards Ethiopian Airlines was nominated as Airline of the Year 2009 due to nominees based on ‘solid financial results, sharpness and services provided to customers such as opening new routes.
