The low-cost airline based in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, Air Arabia is launching non-stop flights to Athens. Moreover, Athens is the 46th worldwide destinations serve by Air Arabia. Furthermore, the Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Development Authority H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, and the UAE Ambassador to Greece, Abdul Hadi Al-Khajah,.the chairman were present for the launching of the first non-stop flight between Sharjah and Athens with Air Arabia. However, these non-stop flights to Athens with Air Arabia will be carried out three times weekly namely on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

One of the largest and most well known frequent flyer programmes, Jet airways’ Jet Privilege wins Freddie Awards which was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA on 23rd April 2009. The 21st presentation of Freddie Awards 2008 was held on the 23rd April 2009. However the category is based on a range of benefits that the Elite or Top tiers members acquire with any frequent flyer programme.

Air France, the national airline of France is introducing non-stop flights between Nantes and London City. Moreover, these non-stop flights between Nantes and London City with Air France will be carried out by VLM Airlines. However, VLM Airlines which is owned by Air France will make use of its Fokker 50 aircraft with 50 seats available to operate these non-stop flights between Nantes and London City. Furthermore, an additional flight will be operated by Cityjet, a subsidiary of Air France. This additional flight will be carried out by Cityjet’s Avro RJ85 aircraft and it is scheduled from 13th June 2009 to 06th September 2009 on Saturdays to London and on Sundays to Nantes. On the other hand, Air France serves 3 destinations namely, Milan, London-City and Amsterdam-Schiphol departing from Nantes.
